Danie White (pronouns: she/her) is a Counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program, a program that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students' academic and life goals. She provides clinical services to the School of Undergraduate Studies, University Housing and Dining and College of Education. Danie is available to provide consultation to staff and prevention services. Danie offers workshops and outreach services to both colleges to discuss the everyday stressors, anxiety and pressure students may experience.

Areas of professional interest include trauma, grief, and attachment, along with family and relationship concerns. Danie’s approach is person centered and systemic in nature and can be helpful when things feel overwhelming.

CARE Clinical Services

  • Students may be referred by a staff or faculty member. They may also self-refer by coming to office hours.
  • Danie is available to discuss students’ needs and offer appropriate services (e.g. short-term counseling, referral services, crisis intervention, and groups)

Trainings and Workshops

  • Offered to students and staff
  • Topics vary (e.g. stress management, test anxiety, assisting student in distress)

Consultation

  • Available to consult one-on-one and in meetings/groups. Please contact Danie for more information.
