Maria Timm (pronouns: she/her) is a Counselor Coordinator in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program, a program that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students' academic and life goals. She provides clinical services in the School of Law and the College of Fine Arts. Maria is available to provide consultation to staff and prevention services. Maria completed her academic training in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she grew up, and completed both her internship and her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin. She enjoys all that Austin has to offer and loves being outside when it's not too hot!
Areas of professional interest include stress management, conflict resolution, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, substance use, narrative therapy, and supporting first-generation and international students.
