Nathan Langfitt (pronouns: he/him) is a Counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program, a program that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students’ academic and life goals. He provides clinical services in the College of Fine Arts, Dell Medical School, and School of Nursing. Nathan is available to provide consultation to staff, in addition to workshops and prevention services.

Areas of professional interest  include helping students with performance anxiety, perfectionism, developing self-compassion, and personal identity development.

CARE Clinical Services

  • Students may be referred by a staff or faculty member. They may also self-refer by coming to office hours, or calling Nathan.
  • Nathan is able to discuss students’ needs and offer appropriate services (short-term counseling, referral services, crisis intervention, and groups)

  • Making a Self-Care Plan
  • Self-Care for Teachers and Caregivers
