Yoga is an ancient Indian practice of uniting both mind and body through exercise, meditation, and philosophy. In the West, a lot of people think of Yoga as a form of exercise. We've included three yoga videos to introduce you to another wonderful way to reduce your stress.

The Yoga videos are narrated and demonstrated by the fabulous Amy Holte, M.Ed, and are comprised of three segments. Segment 1 is "Stress Relaxation," Segment 2 is "Depression Recovery," and Segment 3 is the "Sun Salutation."

How will knowing how to do yoga help me with my stress?

A yoga practice enhances flexibility, tones the muscles, releases tension, and improves mood. All of those benefits if practiced on a regular basis can have a huge impact on one's overall stress level. For many people, yoga also has a philosophical impact on their lifestyle.

I can't do all of the poses. What should I do?

Don't give up! Try all of the poses and do the best you can. You may not be able to do them at first, but keep trying and pay attention to your body. Over time your flexibility will increase and you will improve. Just remember to practice, practice, practice.

I get tired and can't finish the videos. What should I do?

If you are getting tired, and assuming your are perfectly healthy, it probably just means you are not yet strong enough to complete the exercises. It's okay. Just do as much as you can and keep trying. Your strength and flexibility will improve. You might also consider consulting with your physician to make sure that you are healthy enough to be exerting yourself in this way.

Remember to Think Small
