Below is a video that will provide you with a chance to hear more about the CARE program from your college CARE counselor.
Cassy (pronouns: she/her/hers) is a Counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program, a program that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students’ academic and life goals. She provides clinical services to the College of Liberal Arts students and is available to provide consultation and prevention/outreach services to staff.
Cassy’s areas of professional interest include multiculturalism, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her approach includes an integration of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and a person-centered framework with trauma-informed care. Cassy is also fluent in Spanish and can provide bilingual services to students who may feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish.
