Need to speak to someone?

If you would like to speak to a counselor trained in issues related to relationship violence, sexual violence and stalking, call the UT Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) at 471-3515, Mon-Fri. from 8am-5pm and request a "VAV appointment" when scheduling.

If you need to see someone immediately, please come to CMHC (5th floor of the SSB) and ask to see a Crisis Counselor. No appointment is necessary.

If you would like to speak to someone over the phone confidentially and anonymously, please call UT 24-hour Telephone Counseling at 512-471-CALL (2255) (UT Students Only).

If you would like to speak to someone about receiving training on VAV issues, please call 475-6957.

Want to schedule a performance?

If you would like to schedule a Theatre for Dialogue Performance, or speak with someone about becoming a VAV Peer Educator, please call 475-6989.

Need Information for a Class Paper or Media Interview?

  1. Media Interview: If you are a member of the media and want an interview on the issues of domestic/relationship violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking, please contact Dr. Jane Bost at (512) 475-6914.

Computer Use Warning


As a general rule, the following times are set aside each week for 15-minute phone interviews:

  • 3:00 p.m. on Mondays
  • 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays
  • 10:30 a.m. on Fridays

Once you have confirmed an interview time with Heather (and prior to the actual interview), please view the two VAV videos found at the link below to get a basic understanding of what VAV is and how we educate on the issues of interpersonal violence on campus:

If you have a scheduling conflict with the available interview times or the times for the week have already been filled when you call, you may need to make other arrangements in the community to get your interviewing needs met.
